At pH Innovate we run trainee programs across all of our businesses, This allows individuals to start a career in a chosen area from a young age without necessarily having the experience and academic qualifications demanded by other employers.
This doesn’t stop at trainee roles all positions are advertised internally first with preference to internal promotion as external recruitment. This focus on growing and developing local talent is underlined by the fact that over 80% of our staff live within a 10-mile radius of our Pontypool offices and over 50% of the management team started on one of our trainee schemes
Software Engineering Degree Apprenticeships
As part of our technical staff development program, we have partnered with the Open University to provide staff with additional opportunities to extend their skills. The OU and PH have structured the course and workplace commitments to give the best mix of academic and practical experience to produce fully rounded software engineers.
This is open to all staff on the trainee developer program after completion of year 1 of the trainee programme.
